I haven't seen Dead Like Me, so don't know how this compares - but this is a delightful story, beautifully told. I adored your characterisations. There were some very funny moments, and then some poignant parts that really caught at my emotions.

An absolute treat. And you probably don't want to hear this, since you've just finished this one, but I would love to read more stories about these two. There are so many possibilities! Where did Jensen transfer from? Why do these souls not have their own white lights? Do they ever earn them? How would they deal with a soul who refused to go? My mind kept taking me into these other paths. I would dearly love to see you explore them one day, if you were interested.
