To be fair, there were some pubs with extended opening hours long before 2003, and night clubs had late licenses for serving alcohol into the morning as well. So don't worry, in the last decades, there have always been plenty of locations to party all night (or at least until 2am ;)) in any decent-sized British town. And some have great karaoke as well :)
