I'm glad Uhura spoke to Spock, he was behaving like a 'cool gentleman' thinking that is what she wanted. Uhura thought he could not be more than he was forgetting that he is not raised in human culture and expresses himself mentally rather than verbally. Hopefully they can cross the cultural divide, after all she would be a fool to give up this version of Spock for all the tantrums, mind games and manipulations associated with human relationships.
