No, I totally got what you meant - and I'm actually didn't think the characterization was overdone. I generally don't want my characters to be too introspective and/or self-aware. This Jared is already pushing it in my book, but I first tried writing it Jensen!POV only and that didn't really work.
It just made me laugh because it was supposed to be quick and dirty porn, and then it took me a couple of days, so when I finally sent it to meiou_set, the first thing she said to me was, "I can tell what's wrong with this just from the first three paragraphs: CHARACTERIZATION. That's no way to write porn."
