Okay, I see you got a lot of detailed comments, sadly I don't think I'll be able to deliver one like them on my own, but I'll try :D Honestly, you already had me with your warning: "Neither of the Js is any deader in the end than he was in the beginning, though." After that I just knew I had to read this. And you didn't disappoint me :) As many others here, I haven't seen any of Dead like me (though, after reading this I'm sure as Hell going to do it), so I don't know what's in it and what's not, but I loved everything there was in this story. Mostly, when I'm reading longer stories, circa in the middle of it I'm like "oookay, it's fun, but I wanna know how it ends", but not this time. I was praying it would never end, and I was actually sad when I started to read the last part. I love how you mixed your universe with the real life informations, and how you made sure to get the tiniest detail right. It's a beautiful job, you could be proud of it :)
